Most of the physical events taking place in the universe can be explained by classical physics. The classical mechanics knowledge inherited by Isaac Newton is sufficient for positioning a rocket or a satellite to be sent to the Moon. However, there are celestial bodies such as black holes and neutron stars with enormous amounts of energy, mass, and strong magnetic fields in the universe, and classical physics is not enough to understand the nature of these celestial bodies. For this reason, quantum mechanics was put to work in order to better understand all the matter that makes up the universe, or in other words, a new meaning of the word “understanding”.
